The old Mayan way of seeing the world is to understand that all of life’s energies need to be fed, for each one to be courted like a precious lover. The Retreat

Our power ceremony takes us to Guatemala’s Lago Atitlan, the “Umbilicus of the Universe”, or in the Tzutujil Maya language, the “Rumuxux Ruchiuleu”. Called the world’s most beautiful lake, Atitlan is an ancient crater filled with jade -colored water and is ringed by 3 magnificent volcanoes. A fourth, “Fuego”, can be seen smoking in the distance. The shores of this sacred lake are still graced with Mayan villages, each one a unique indigenous culture of beauty and wisdom. This magical place helps inspire us to recognize and rekindle the sacred fire within us.
Our retreat will be an immersion of transformative yoga (all levels welcome), bhakti, pranayama, healing and empowerment ceremonies, evocative movement and music, cultural excursions and intimate experiences with the power of Nature. While balancing all the elements, we are focusing our attention on the Fire Within, as mirrored by the forces of Nature surrounding us. Practice self-mastery of your Inner Fire from the moment you set your intentions to step into this extraordinary experience of a lifetime. And we’ll be relishing in the spaciousness of BEING….time to rest in a hammock, to breathe, to dream, to swim, to play and laugh, to journal, to simply en-JOY. For a combined 40 years, your Guides, Alex Holiday and Paula Coyne, have been respectfully studying and integrating a cosmology that originated in this part of the world, as well as being highly experienced Yoga and Meditation teachers. We’ll share Ayurvedic expertise, Qoya movement (dance), and other ceremonies designed to support your personal intentions and greatest well-being. With reverence, we’ll lift the veil of the familiar to perceive into the Mystery.

* We HIGHLY RECOMMEND consulting us before organizing travel arrangements and purchasing flights as we can advise according to retreat schedule. We are happy to guide you in your travel planning. As with any travel, we recommend buying trip insurance. Once you have registered, you will be receiving group emails with helpful information.
* An optional few days in the beautiful colonial city of Antigua (before or after our retreat week) is a great option for extra time/experience in Guatemala. We are happy to help with advice and hotel bookings, however this option is at your own cost and organization. If interested, please contact us.

Please note: The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation given 30 days or more before the event will be given a full refund, minus the deposit. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 30 days of the retreat.
